I have been trying to install the Windows Service Pack 1 pack on my laptops. On one of my laptops activator Windows 7 Home Premium activatod bit operating windows the Windows Update downloaded Wtih 4 other updates in about an hour and installed successfully during shut down and reboot. However on my main laptop used with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit the Service Pack 1 stops downloading although it says it still is downloading or appears to be at 95%. The first time I tried to dowload it with 3 other Windows Updates and it got stuck here. I finally stopped it after about 7 hours with it stuck at 95%. Isolated the other downloads and downloaded and installed them after rebooting and did that in less than 15 minutes. Then started to try and download only the Service Pack 1 again. It has now been goign for 6 hours and is still stuck on 95% downloading. Another forum on the web had a post that the Service Pack 1 with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit will not download if you have the language packs installed. Those took me about 3-4 days to install and download due to having to do them one at a time because as a group they would get hung up. So I am hoping that I do not have to remove the language packs to get this Service Pack 1 installed on this machine.
